Trust God, He Made the Map

Trust God, He Made the Map @KathyWereb.com

I am often surprised by the complexity of God’s plan.

The longer I travel, the narrower this path called life becomes. I have to stop once in a while just to reflect on how utterly awesome God is. I wouldn’t have chosen the life I’ve lived, not in a heartbeat, but the more steps I take the more it’s revealed to me just how amazing God’s grace is.

His plan is perfectly tailored to meet me where I’m at.

Here.

Now.

I am who I am because of who Jesus is.

Every heartache, every loss, every low valley has been used to shape me more perfectly into a reflection of who He is. He didn’t cause the pain in my life, but I am so thankful God smoothed over the cracks. With infinite patience and everlasting love, He’s making my life into something beautiful.

He says, in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Did you hear that?

I have hope.

I have a future.

In spite of my mess-ups and hang-ups, God’s got my back.

Regardless of my past, or my natural tendency to wander, God’s got my future all mapped out. He knows not only where I’ve been, but where I’m going and what it will take to get me there. I don’t need to worry, or doubt, or take matters into my own hands.

All I need to do is trust God, because He’s the one Who made the map.
